We’re constantly ON; running from this to that, plugged into our electronic devices and always focused on what we have to do next.
This week, I challenge you to take some time to reconnect with yourself.
See if you can take a minimum of five minutes in the middle of your day just to be quiet with yourself.
Lock yourself in your office, maybe go out to your car or sit outside by yourself.
No cellphone, no laptop, no apple watch.
Take this quiet time to tune into your breath, spend a few minutes focusing on breathing in and out.
Tune into your own thoughts, see where your thoughts take you.
These midday timeouts should help you attack the rest of your day with better focus and clarity. Giving your brain that chance to take a time out will make you that much more efficient for the rest of your day.
