This summer, my social media platforms have been full of varying negative opinions (some downright awful), unsupported information, and disturbing visuals.

I was repeatedly seeing posts centered around fear, hate and division. I was saddened to see various people’s opinions on the matter. I quickly went on a social media cleanse, unfriending and hiding people who’s opinions were hateful and ignorant.

I really want to protect the quality of the information I’m taking in day-to-day.

As I push forward on my path, I want to be motivated, inspired and encouraged by the content I consume.

We are all entitled to our opinions, however it’s up to me to be aware of the quality of the information coming in.

Really think about how you want your day-to-day life to feel like.

As you casually, scroll through your social media platforms, does the content your viewing fall in line with how you want your day-to-day life to feel like?

If that girl you worked with at your previous job, 5 years ago is ALWAYS complaining about something on Facebook…hide her.time gaurdian

If you follow a handful of news outlets and they typically share similar posts…unfollow a couple of those accounts.

 

If you have a specific goal your working towards…fill your social media with accounts that inspire and motivate you towards that goal.

Everyday, you have the opportunity to shape and mold the quality of the world you live in.
